Laurie Anderson posted this radio app on her recent creation called the Norton Lectures. Of course, I tried it!
Laurie Anderson has been a gift to creative innovators for years. Do you remember "Oh Superman"? A brilliant step into the edge of art by the pop community of the 1980's. Well into her career, she met and married Lou Reed. Though the prominence of her artistry got lost in the current culture, I was thrilled to find she is still creating and being as innovative as ever taking the edge of new technology to the arts in her multimedia presentations even with the limitations of zoom.
In one of her youtube videos from the Norton Lectures she meantions this site called Radio Garden which features a globe and radio stations from around the world. You click anywhere on the map and a radio station pops up. I discovered offbeat radio stations in my own area and was hooked. Here's a station in Indonesia. Enjoy!

So put on your Lo Fi ears, ignore the bad quality and enjoy the sounds from around the world!
Have a great week!
